Class Descriptions

Tiny Tumble


Beginner class for ages 6 and under. Begin learning basics to tumbling such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridge kick-overs, etc. We will begin progressions to back and front walkovers after mastery of basics.

Requirement- Must be 6 years old or younger


Beginner Tumble


We will focus on drills and progressions for back and front walkovers, cartwheels, and round-offs. Once mastered, we will begin working on connections of these skills.

Requirement- Must be 7 years old or older


Intro to BHS


We will focus on drills and progressions for learning standing and round-off back handsprings. We will also focus on learning and perfecting skills such as standing back handspring, round-off back handspring, and back walkover back handspring.

Requirement- Must demonstrate mastery of front-walkover, back-walkover, and round-off with a rebound.


Advanced BHS



Learning progressions for more advanced back handspring combinations. We will work on connecting multiple back handsprings, running specialty passes with back handsprings, and introduction to jump connections to back handsprings.

Requirement- Must demonstrate mastery of standing back handspring, round-off back handspring, and back-walkover back handspring.



Tuck


We will focus on drills and progressions to work towards round-off back handspring tucks. Will also focus on perfecting technique in standing connections of multiple back handsprings working towards rebounding to add the back tuck. Beginning progressions for front tucks.

Requirement- Must demonstrate round-off three back handsprings with speed and great technique, round-off back handspring with high rebound, and connection of AT LEAST two standing back handsprings with great technique.

Advanced Specialty


Beginning drills and progressions for front tucks, front tucks connected into running tumbling passes, and whip passes. We will work on perfecting these skills into back tucks and layouts.

Requirement- Must have AT LEAST solid round off back handspring tuck and standing multiple back handsprings to high rebound. Level 4 and 5 athletes recommended to attend as well.


Layout


Beginning with progressions and drills for layout shaping, working towards round off back handspring layout on floor. We will also work on specialty passes, standing back tucks, and multiple standing back handsprings to tuck/layout.

Requirement- Must demonstrate mastery of round off back handspring tuck, standing connection of multiple back handsprings with high rebounds, and jump to back handspring connection (multiple back handsprings preferred).


Twist


Beginning progressions and drills for learning twisting. Working towards round off back handspring full on floor. Once mastered we will work on standing passes to full and progressions for doubles and standing fulls.

Requirement- Must have perfected round off back handspring layout with great shaping and technique. Specialty pass to layout preferred. Must also have mastered all level 4 standing tumbling skills.


Jump Class


Jump class is for perfecting technique in all aspects of jumps. We will work on various drills to help with height, flexibility, and power in jumps.

Requirement- No prerequisite


Stretch / Flyer Flight Class


Stretching class is for flyers or those wishing to fly.  We will work on various stretching exercises, body positions, and proper technique in stretching and pulling body positions.
